11:10:35 We all have a gift.
::11:10:38 Paulo Castle said, the meaning of life is to find your gift.
::11:10:53 Are you operating in your gifts to? Not today?
::11:10:54 What limiting belief is stopping you!
::11:11:00 For years I search my worth, value and identity.
::11:11:03 Until I realize that those things mean by that.
::11:11:04 Now I am power, other one to overcome self, limiting beliefs.
::11:11:08 One mindset at a time.
::11:11:17 Because today I'm a special guest. Amanda Carrie, who is the founder of real food, made simple. She's joining us today to tell us a little bit about her story.
::11:11:28 Thank you for having me.
::11:11:36 Okay. Me! I am a 29 year old, and I am a wife of my wonderful husband, Caleb. I am a.
::11:11:53 Just just know that I might have to stop it.
::11:12:04 Have lots of different. You know, gifts that God has given me, that I am.
::11:12:11 I love that I love it. Okay? So you're multifaceted for sure. Tell me kind of how that journey has been and how you said, that you're stepping now. What made you comfortable enough now to actually step into them.
::11:12:47 And how like you don't have to let those stop you. And that just really started a mindset for me that lasted over the next, you know, 11 years at this point, and.
::11:13:10 Everything,
::11:13:17 Yeah. So that's kind of how that
::11:13:34 Grow myself mentally and just become a better version of who I am, and the more that I've done to grow.
::11:13:47 Those have really opened up a lot of opportunities. God has kind of opened a lot of doors, and a lot of those were things that I thought were supposed to be. One thing.
::11:14:07 So how has that been? Because there are so many times that we, you know, right off the vision, make it kind of like. This is how it's gonna go.
::11:14:17 Exactly.
::11:14:19 Not get stuck in disappointment because it looked differently than you expected.
::11:14:32 But effectively. Whenever hands you something negatives.
::11:14:42 I'm fine, and it's not. Obviously it's not that easy for us to just let go and move on from things. But.
::11:14:55 No matter what you're doing, it's always preparing you for something.
::11:15:03 Thought you were preparing for. But God's plan is always better than ours, so.
::11:15:09 So true, so true. And I think it's getting used to like this plan is bettering that even when we feel like.
::11:15:17 Yes, be like, hey? That's not the way we're wait. I thought, No, okay. Got it.
::11:15:26 How did you even land there?
::11:15:33 Our family has always been very.
::11:15:48 Yeah.
::11:15:48 But they were the 1st ones that kind of broke out of that mold for our family. And then I saw them start going on all these really cool trips. And, you know, becoming more outgoing. And I was like, Okay, I want in on that like, I don't feel like I.
::11:16:05 But if they can, maybe I can.
::11:16:09 I went to that 1st seminar with them, and I just absolutely loved it.
::11:16:25 And so that just it really did start a journey of.
::11:16:32 So, looking back, I know you mentioned even like over the past 11 years. What would you say? Has been either your biggest obstacle.
::11:16:52 Biggest obstacle for me. My biggest limiting belief would be fear of failure. All the time.
::11:16:57 But I would say, what has really just gotten me through. It would be 2 things.
::11:17:14 Becoming.
::11:17:15 Getting in his word and understanding that like.
::11:17:18 However.
::11:17:32 We don't have to know.
::11:17:33 We just can't jump out of the boat.
::11:17:35 I'm just kind of.
::11:17:36 Yeah, I think you entered them, because just that biggest Aha moment where you just said, you know you're in the boat.
::11:17:54 Yep.
::11:17:55 Yep.
::11:17:56 He doesn't.
::11:18:01 I will go insane. But then it's like I operate off of this list like it is the end all be all. If these things don't get done today. Then, you know, I'm not enough. I failed. As a wife. I've failed as a woman like just, you know all of these things, but at the end of the day it's like.
::11:18:29 Yeah.
::11:18:30 That's true.
::11:18:32 Yeah.
::11:18:34 You know you've got to be willing to let go and surrender that plan.
::11:18:50 And and I think that's the biggest part of it is just that letting go.
::11:18:52 Surrender sounds simple, but it's not easy.
::11:18:53 Definitely not easy, which now you said you already had 4 cats, so.
::11:19:04 I'm gonna be honest, it's literally just the specific dog.
::11:19:07 My husband and I have always had dogs growing up.
::11:19:10 He hated cats when we got married, but obviously they've grown on him. All of the 4 that we have are strays. So they were all adopted in at various stages of life, most of them kittens but this dog wandered up on our porch, and I remember seeing one of my cats just growling at the window, and I couldn't figure out what it was, and I looked out the window, and I saw this dog that I thought at the time was a coyote.
::11:19:39 And my husband was like, okay, be careful. If you're gonna go out there and I walk outside. And this dog.
::11:19:44 I'm bounding over to me and jumps up in my arms, and is just like.
::11:19:53 And she's just been the best dog. And it's like, from that moment I was like, Okay, if nobody claims this dog, she's mine like she's great. She already knows how to sit, knows how to fetch like we're good.
::11:20:09 Well, I know that we mentioned. You know. Even your company with real food makes.
::11:20:18 What made you jump into that and kind of what that journey has been like so far as well.
::11:20:33 Chance.
::11:20:34 Basically, I have all had.
::11:20:53 And I never put 2 and 2 together. That oh, like what goes in your body is actually affecting.
::11:21:04 So I wound up with debilitating anxiety, depression.
::11:21:19 General, just not feeling good. So I started getting into just more of the intentional living side of things and just trying to live life more intentionally, whether that's, you know, minimizing your possessions so that you're not as stressed out, or, you know, just making little dietary changes to try to feel a little bit better.
::11:21:43 The Lord had a completely.
::11:21:53 Like. I said I was super duper sick.
::11:22:00 Georgia.
::11:22:07 Oh, my God!
::11:22:08 He actually talks about the fact that in that moment he was like, Lord, is this really what you want for me like? Is this a mistake? Did I just like propose to somebody? That's.
::11:22:23 Horribly sick. And you know there's gonna be awful just assured him, like no like this is. This is the one stick with it. So shortly after we got married I got introduced to natural health. I started going.
::11:22:53 And that is actually where I met one of my best friends and my business partner, who, co-founded, made simple. She was actually one of the ones that helped me transition my diet and become healthy. So all of those symptoms that I used to have.
::11:23:03 All of those went away.
::11:23:07 That's incredible.
::11:23:08 Got me realizing like.
::11:23:14 A lot of people are just afraid to get in the kitchen because they're like, what if I'm horrible at cooking? What if I can't make anything that tastes good. It's like they let those fears stop them. Or what if I can't give up.
::11:23:29 My Dr. Pepper, or my donuts, or whatever it is.
::11:23:33 But we don't realize that those little things that we think are our comfort. Maybe what's completely holding us back from living a completely different life.
::11:23:45 That is huge.
::11:23:46 And just the fact that you said even a couple of months like doctors were like, we're gonna do this forever.
::11:23:55 Yes.
::11:23:57 Oh!
::11:23:58 Just even the things you're putting in your body that Scripture tells us, the things that you know we put in our body, the things that come out to Palis. And so we have to make sure that we're taking care of what we're putting in. And so.
::11:24:08 Gosh! 1st of all, what a major test I mean. That's incredible to have, you know, chronic sicknesses and illnesses.
::11:24:18 Even in that.
::11:24:24 Then the passion. I wanna share that and tell other people like.
::11:24:28 Whitney, do you know? Like yes, this is what you said it. You had a totally different, you know, thought in terms of business.
::11:24:34 How did you know like this? Is it? Let me go with this.
::11:24:50 I'm like, Oh, actually, this is what it's for. I've done graphic design. That was my college major. And so I learned all of my graphic design skills and things, my marketing skills. And I actually thought that I was going to be doing that primarily for divine design, natural health but.
::11:25:27 We're actually applicable for writing this cookbook, starting a membership, teaching people all of these things. So it just kind of all added up and.
::11:25:45 And I think that's huge, because you talked about people being scared in the kitchen is not that I'm scared, but my kids are now at such various ranges that everybody likes something different. And to me it's like stressful of like, how am I gonna put something that everybody wants to eat.
::11:25:58 Right.
::11:26:00 Truthfully something that's very convenient, that I can click very quickly. And so I definitely need to take out your equipment for those reasons to where we can eat healthy and still appeal to everyone's taste. Buds.
::11:26:20 And just really have that shift where it's not constant sugary foods and chips and things like that.
::11:26:23 Was like one of the biggest things that I.
::11:26:34 Straight up when I tell you I first, st when I 1st started trying to make the transition to eating healthy, my husband and I were reminded. Just a few days ago we went into Engels in a city nearby. We don't normally shop there cause that's kind of out of our way, but we were just in the area we stopped by, and it reminded us of.
::11:26:53 We had to leave that Ingles, because I saw an angel food cake and just started squalling. And I was like, I just want the cake.
::11:27:13 I was like. No, I don't.
::11:27:34 Kind of stuff, but it's like.
::11:27:36 And it's very rarely the dish we ate. When we were 2.
::11:27:37 Every you know, every year you find a new favorite thing. So, looking at it as.
::11:27:53 You're finding.
::11:27:57 Because yeah.
::11:27:59 You know, just do the things they're supposed to.
::11:27:59 And and I think you just hit mail completely on the head where you talked about that mindset like I'm not losing something. I'm actually gaming something and being able to shift your mindset around that of like. But this is healthier, I often say, like, when I go for a walk.
::11:28:21 I'm trying to make sure that older me thinks younger for taking care of me. So it's that same thing of making sure we're mindful of what we're putting in, how we're taking care of our bodies, because these are honestly our temples, you know, until we've got to make sure we're taking care of it, and so.
::11:28:31 Even in that health journey where.
::11:28:34 Yeah.
::11:28:34 Shift things around even quickly as it did for you. So let's pray.
::11:28:46 The powerfulness. Just a few. Goodness, Lord, and the great things that you do for the importance of reminding us of.
::11:29:16 And that you live in and walk with us on a day to day basis. So we pray that you encourage everyone out there that.
::11:29:26 But they can always turn to you. Probably thank you for even the community that Amanda has put together in the membership.
::11:29:38 And the word of our testimony. Thank you that you're using Amanda's testimony to help and bless other people so that they can be healthier.
::11:29:52 Amen!
::11:29:54 Anything that you want to leave everyone else with that you want them to know.
::11:30:11 Yes.
::11:30:14 And just go where he leads, and you won't credit.
::11:30:32 And on all social medias. It's at gestural food made simple as well. That way you can order your cookbook and join the membership community as well.
::11:30:35 Thank you again so much, Amanda. We appreciate having you here today, and can't wait to see how many more people you're able to connect.
